All Hail Jon Garland!

Sox Update: The Sox snap a 3-game skip with a masterpiece from the now 8-0 Jon Garland. I never thought I'd write that, so I'm going to write it again just to make sure I'm not dreaming. The 8-0 Jon Garland. AJ homers for his 3rd straight game, Hermanson remains unscored on, picking up his 9th save. Shingo who? sPod was 2 for 4 with a SB and 2 runs scored.

I'll be at the game tomorrow. Fuckin Go Sox!

Down On the Farm:

Charlotte (AAA): Despite the AAA debut of future Hall of Famer Frank Thomas, the Knights still find a way to lose - 9-8 to Ottawa. The Big Hurt was 2 for 3 with a double, a walk and 2 runs scored. Anderson was 3 for 5, including a homer, and drove in 3. Norton and Burke each drove in two, though Burke also struck out 3 times. Adkins gave up 7 ER in 5 IP.

Birmingham (AA): Beat Mississippi 10-3. Rogo draws 4 walks and scores three times. Stewart was 3 for 5.

Winston-Salem (A): Beat Salem 7-5. Collaro watch; 1 for 4, the mini slump continues. Daigle was 4 for 4 including a homer and 3 runs scored.

Kannapolis (A): Beat Delmarva 9-5. De Los Santos was 3 for 4. Moat strikes out 5 in 3 and 1/3rd of relief and gets the win.

Baseball phrase of the day: kitchen n. the area of a batter's torso imside or at the edge of the high and inside portion of the strike zone.

Not even Frank Thomas can save them...They need more than help down there, they need a complete overhaul.

they need more steroids, is what they need. everyone knows you can't win without 'em.
