Bridgeport, the community of the future

Lumpen Media co-founder, and unofficial Mayor of Wicker Park, "Edmar" revs up the Version05 Festival beginning this weekend. Staring yesterday, and running for 10 days, the fest brings cutting edge (read; future trendy) art, music and politics - much of it for free- to locations all over the city. One of the host venues this year is the Zhou B. Center, a new gallery space at 35th and Morgan (http://www.zbcenter.org), right in the heart of Edmar's home stomping grounds of Bridgeport. In this week's issue of Time Out Chicago, Edmar says, "I've always thought Bridgeport was the community of the future - if the future was the apocalypse." Korean Polish BBQ will be had by all.
