All Tied Up!

now that's something to look at

... and no time to write.

Sox Update: The Sox win one they shouldn't have, beating the Royals 3-2 in 10. Marte's play at the plate looked too close to call, he gets a deserving win. Uribe gets 3 hits and Crede has now hit safely in 14 straight games. So far this year Contreras has pitched pretty much the same as he did last year - he's inconsistent, but hasn't let one get away. The difference is, with Garland pitching as well as he is, Jose is now the #5 starter. And like him or not, Loaiza is now pitching for Tabasco in the Class D Mexican League.

AJ got what sounded like a fairly painful toe injury in the 2nd, but played thru the pain. Whatever bad rap this guy got in SF was horseshit. So far, it sounds like he's getting along with everyone just fine. Plus he calls a good game, and he's actually been hitting. Too bad for the Giants, good for the Sox.

Down On The Farm:

Charlotte (AAA):.. is so awful at this point, I'm going to stop reporting on them.

Birmingham (AA): Lose 10-8. Fields goes 4 for 5 with 2 doubles and 3 RBIs. Honel gives up 9 ER in 5 IP, including 3 homers.

Winston-Salem (A): The Hog defeats Potomac 6-2. Collaro Watch: 3 for 4, a homer and 3 RBIs. I tell ya, this guy is just a hitting machine! Does he ever stop? Haeger gets the win in a notable effort.

Kannapolis (A): Beat Hickory 3-1. Gonzales strikes out 10 in 6 IP. Take a look at the Cheat's Blog (link at right) for a more in-depth analysis of Mr. Gonzales. Apparently, he's dominating the South Atlantic League.

Baseball phrase of the day: muckle n/arch. muscle, power.

Things did not go as planned last night with the MILF, despite pumping her full of Corona. Sometimes we got game, other times, not. Maybe more tonight... So stay tuned.
