Don't Be Sad Part 2

Sox Update: Sox take two of three from the Cub at Wrigley, falling on sunday 4-3. McCarthy did his part - throwing 78 pitches over 5 and 1/3rd, he striking out 6, walking one and giving up 2 ER. Prior was his old self, going the distance for the impressive win. Good for him. Vizcaino blew it for the Sox in relief. He better get his shit together and fast or else wind up with the Kinghts. YIKES! The long ball was the order of the day, with Iguchi, Dye and Konerko all hitting solo homers.

Onto LA to face the Angels in 4 late night games beginning tomorrow.

Down On The Farm:

Charlotte (AAA): don't even ask. Big Frank was 1 for 4 with a single and a strikeout.

Birmingham (AA): Won 5-3 over WestTenn. Rogo was 2 for 3 with 2 RBIs and a homer. Lamauara struck out 3 in 1 and 1/3rd.

Winston-Salem (A): Lose to Kinston 10-4. Ya think 5 Hog errors mighta had something to do with it? Collaro Watch: 2 for 4 with a solo homer, so he's offically out of his slump. Daigle and Hall also collected 2 hits apiece. Flores struck out 6 in 5 and 1/3rd.

Kannapolis (A): Beat Greenville 4-1. Cook goes 4 for 4 with 2 solo homers.
