Sunshine day

summer of sun, summer of lust

The weather since wednesday has just been 'off the charts' incredible. Summer is definately here. And I'm so fucking horny I can't stand it.

I enjoyed my time off, and accomplished nothing. Oh, I did drink a lot of beer. And despite getting paid on friday, overdrew my bank account to the tune of $100.

Back to the grind on tuesday...

Sox Update: Big Frank makes his big return in front of a BIG crowd on a gorgeous day on the Southside of Chicago. The Sox break their three game skid (their longest losing streak so far this season) with a 5-4 win over the LA Angels. Timo gets the game winning hit, driving in 2 with a single. Thomas was 0 for 2 with a walk. Iguchi looked good, 1 for 2 with a double and 2 walks, though he did commit an error. Buehrle pitched well enough to get the win.

The Sox picked up the 2006 option on Ozzie's contract, and, prematurely, I think, gave him guaranteed $ for 2007 and 2008, with an option for 2009.

Down On The Farm:

Charlotte (AAA): did play...and lost...

Birmingham (AA): Lose to West Tenn 5-2. Young goes 2 for 3 with 2 doubles.

Winston-Salem (A): Beat Myrtle BEach 10-9. Collaro watch: 1 for 4. Daigle was 3 for 3 with 5 RBIs and 2 walks. Haigwood struck out 7 in 6IP< but he also yielded 6 ER.

Kannapolis (A): Beat Rome 7-4. Berry was 3 for 5.

Baseball phrase of the day: dilly n./arch. a spectacular hit.

Today's music selection: if its summer its got to be Paul Westerberg's Mono and Ted Leo & The Pharmacists Shake The Sheets.
